Performance Team Standards 

  • INJURY - Performance Team athletes will report any injuries immediately.  Coaches need to know you are injured and your rehabilitation from injury should be a priority.  Hide injury will just result in a longer rehab.
  • WEIGHT - Performance Team athletes will report any change in weight category immediately.  No one should be competing at weight categories that they cannot meet or maintain.  No one should feel pressured to fight a lower category.  No one under 16 should be cutting weight to make a category.
  • SPARRING - Performance Team athletes will not spar with any athletes of the opposite sex when visiting other clubs, taking part in sparring at other clubs, or when taking part in Sport Performance team training. 
  • COMPETITION ENTRY - Performance Team athletes will ensure they are at training, consistently, for 5 weeks in the run up to an event.
  • ATTENDANCE - Performance Team athletes will let the lead coach know when they're not going to make a session.
